The Missouri SBDC at Missouri Southern State University's mission is to improve people's lives and the competitiveness of Missouri businesses through research-based education and technical assistance to enhance Missouri's economy.

 

About Us

The Missouri SBDC at Missouri Southern State University is part of a nationwide network of SBDC programs and is affiliated with and supported by The Robert W. Plaster School of Business in Joplin, MO. The local center was established in April 1987.

About Us

  • existing and start-up small businesses in Jasper, Newton, Barton, Vernon, McDonald, Cedar, Dade, and Lawrence counties with consulting and training

 

 

  • one-on-one educational counseling at no charge to area small businesses that are existing businesses or start-up companies

 

 

  • training for owners, managers and employees of area businesses and industries
